What’s your ideal TV?
With so many models and features, it can be daunting deciding what’s the best TV to buy. Let us help you choose a Sony TV that will take your entertainment to a whole new level.
OLED OR LCD?
By screen type
There are two screen types available, OLED and LCD, each with its own unique characteristics. Our expertise in television allows us to provide thrilling experiences on both OLED and LCD TVs.
OLED: Deeper shadow, brighter highlights
Our OLED screens have more than 8 million self-illuminating pixels that are precisely and individually controlled. Because each pixel can be activated or turned off completely, the variation between light and dark is greatly enhanced compared to regular screens, with incredibly deep blacks and dazzling lights. Powered by Cognitive Processor XR and our unique panel control technology, color and contrast are boosted for exceptionally realistic pictures. They deliver more accurate detail, depth and textures in dark scenes, making OLED TV especially good for movies.
A wide color spectrum for real-life shades and hues
Powered by our Cognitive Processor XR, our OLED TVs bring more than a billion colors to the screen. Together with our wide color gamut panel and human-centric processor, it analyzes the saturation, hue and brightness of every color to deliver natural shades and exceptional detail.
Pure blacks for real-life depth and texture
Our Cognitive Processor XR™ analyzes visual information and enhances pictures in the same way as your eyes focus, so you won’t miss a single detail in dazzling light or deep shadow.
Screen speaker, theater-like sound
With Acoustic Surface Audio+ on Sony OLED TVs, sound comes directly from the screen, precisely aligning what you hear with what you see, making viewing much more immersive.
LCD: Bright, colorful scenes
Our LCD televisions with backlighting fill the screen with brightness, reproducing colorful scenes even in bright rooms. Our Mini LED and Full Array LED TVs are powered by our Cognitive Processor XR for truly superlative contrast. When combined with our unique backlight control technologies, on-screen lighting is precisely controlled for brighter scenes, full of true-to-life contrast.
WHICH SIZE OF TV IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
By screen size
There are important considerations when choosing your ideal TV size. Learn how to select the correct TV for your needs and discover how you can maximize its size. Don’t think you need a huge room to consider a bigger TV. Advances in technology and design mean you can have a larger screen within your existing space.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY ON YOUR TV?
By what you watch
Maybe it’s movies with theater-like sound, sports with stadium atmosphere or adrenaline-loaded games full of detail. Think about what you want to enjoy on your TV and find televisions that maximize those experiences.
Love watching movies?
Movies include a lot of dark scenes so it’s important to have a TV with deep blacks and dazzling lights to bring scenes alive with depth and detail. You’ll also want harmony between what you see and what you hear so you can enjoy a more realistic, theater-like experience.
Movies on OLED
With over eight million self-illuminating, independently activated pixels, OLED enhances the intensity of light and dark, making OLED TV especially good for Sci-Fi, horror and action movies. Acoustic Surface Audio™ technology, a sound from screen experience, matches pictures precisely with sound so you can hear voices from exactly where the character is standing, not merely from the sides — just as you do in the cinema.
Movies on LCD
Our Mini LED and Full Array LED TVs with our unique backlight control technologies make pictures look more real by independently activating the backlight and boosting the brightness of lighter areas. This makes LCD TVs a good choice if you like to watch movies with a lot of light and sunny scenes, like family movies and animations.
The main issue when watching fast-moving sports like soccer and motor racing is blur. Make sure you choose a TV with enhanced sharpness to keep the action clear.
Sport on OLED
OLED features millions of independently illuminated pixels for extraordinary sharpness. Even when watching fast-moving sports, you’ll see minimal afterimage or blur.
Sport on LCD
Look out for XR Motion Clarity™3, a Sony technology that reduces blur by inserting black images between images. It uses an independent panel control to optimize light emission and keep scenes clear without losing brightness.

Watch TV shows, news and more?
Although 4K TVs are becoming increasingly popular, some TV programs, including shows and news bulletins, are still being broadcast in less than 2K. Look for TVs with XR 4K Upscaling9, which upscale low-resolution content to close to 4K using a unique Sony database.
Looking to enjoy apps?
Discover new movies and shows with suggestions based on what you’ve watched and what interests you. You can even add to your Watchlist right from your phone, so your recommendations are always up to date. Google Play brings 7,000+ apps and games to your TV.10 11
A huge number of movies are included and waiting for you in the BRAVIA CORE app on your TV. Enjoy up to two years of unlimited movie streaming and choose up to 10 movies to redeem from hundreds of the latest releases and classic blockbuster hits.12 13
Creator Calibrated Mode
BRAVIA XR TVs provide Creator Calibrated Mode that can optimize picture settings when you watch content on Netflix and BRAVIA CORE. Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode allows you to enjoy Netflix content according to the lighting conditions of your room.
SCREEN SOUND, JUST LIKE THE THEATER
By sound experience
If you’re looking for a truly immersive experience, match sound with pictures. Choose a TV with sound from screen technology so that what you hear comes from the place it should. This is especially important on large TVs where sound can be far from the center of the screen.
